Have you ever eaten oden made by Family Mart?? Yeah....I've tried it before. Honestly, I don't mind if the price was a bit expensive but I'm a little bit frustrated with the tasteπ©. So today for my iftar, I decided to make a homemade oden to relief my feelingsπ. Quit simple & easy actually!!
Guess what?? Price for all these ingredients not reached RM50 and I still got some balance for the next roundπ. If you eat buffet at restaurant, I'm sure it's more than that!! To prepare oden, I pricked all the frozen seafood balls on skewers & I also add some marinated meat as a side dish.
ππNothing can challenge the homemade one. |
Actually, it's not hard to make the gravy, I just used the tomyam & asam pedas paste instead of using the viral ODEN paste. What you need to do is to mix all the paste with the water then put it straight away on steamboat pan. Don't forget to add a little bit of sugar for a sweet tasteπ.
